Real Madrid Backs Allegations Of Corruption Against Barcelona.

Real Madrid has said that they would back Barcelona’s claims of corruption over payments made to the vice-president of the referees’ committee in Spain.

As the procedures begin, Real are ready to “defend their interests”.

Barcelona was charged with “corruption,” “breach of trust,” and “false business documents,” a court heard on Friday.

According to the prosecution, Barcelona paid Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira and his business 8.4 million euros (£7.4 million) in exchange for favorable refereeing rulings.

Barcelona, who insists there was no wrongdoing, confirmed that Dasnil 95 received payments between 2001 and 2018.

The Catalan club defined the business as “an external technical consultant” which was hired to prepare video reports relating to professional referees “with the objective of augmenting the information requested by the coaching staff”.
