Pep Guardiola Explains Why He Decided Against Signing Gareth Bale.

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has said that he attempted to recruit Gareth Bale but was unsuccessful due of the Welshman’s high price.

In response to hearing that Bale had decided to stop playing football, the Spaniard made this statement.

Bale can now excel at golf, according to Guardiola.

On Monday, Bale, a former star for Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur, and Real Madrid, announced his retirement from the game.

Bale’s most recent MLS team was Los Angeles FC. And the 33-year-old accomplished what no other British player has been able to do: win five UEFA Champions League championships.

Before Wednesday’s Carabao Cup quarterfinal between Manchester City and Southampton, Guardiola spoke during a post-game news conference.
