Paul Merson Predicts Newcastle vs. Manchester United’s Result
The score of Manchester United’s Carabao Cup [EFL Cup] final match versus Newcastle United on Sunday was predicted by Arsenal icon Paul Merson.
The Carabao Cup final will take place between Man United and Newcastle on Sunday night at Wembley Stadium.
Merson made a prediction, backing Manchester United to defeat Newcastle 2-1.
Sportskeeda cited Merson as saying:
“In the championship, United are the side to defeat. Newcastle United is not a team known for scoring freely. They don’t totally destroy teams.
“In my opinion, the Magpies are anxious to take home a trophy (more so than finishing in the top four), and these guys may become legends if they do so. Sadly, it doesn’t seem probable that will happen. Newcastle United loses to Manchester United 2-1.
