Osimhen Is More Effective Than Before, Says Napoli’s Manager

Victor Osimhen’s improvement throughout the years has been described by Luciano Spalletti, manager of Napoli.

Osimhen scored twice as the Partenopei defeated Bundesliga team Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0 on Wednesday night to advance to the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals.

The international from Nigeria scored in the first leg as well.

The team led by Spalletti won the Round of 16 match 5-0 overall.

A stunning header by Osimhen late in the first half gave the game its first goal.

As Giovanni Di Lorenzo, the team’s captain, put him up, the striker scored a second goal in the 53rd minute.

He is a great striker who sometimes plays by himself and makes these unexpected rushes, but he also has to work with the other members of the squad. We are thrilled that he is beginning to accomplish that, said Spalletti to Sky Italy after the game.

In 28 appearances this season for Napoli in all competitions, Osimhen has already scored 23 goals.
