Man United Provides Two Justifications for Bringing in a New Goalkeeper
Manchester United cited two primary justifications for the club’s decision to borrow Crystal Palace goalie Jack Butland.
John Murtough, director of football of Manchester United, said that Butland’s “mentality and attitude” were factors in the Red Devils’ decision to sign him.
He believes that these two characteristics will be a significant benefit to the club’s outstanding collection of goalkeepers as well as the whole team.
In an article on its website, Man United had on Friday morning formally announced Butland’s hiring.
“Jack is a terrific goalie with a long career and outstanding experience. His mindset and demeanor will be a wonderful benefit to our outstanding group of goalkeepers as well as the whole team, according to Murtaugh.
“Jack joins David, Tom, and our young keepers to form a strong group that will help each other create the best atmosphere possible for training and playing. We are all anticipating his addition to the group.
