Long-standing El Classico Record Equaled By Xavi Hernandez

Xavi Hernandez, the manager of Barcelona, has matched the mark that Pep Guardiola, the previous club manager, established.

The Spaniard became the first manager in the club’s history to win three consecutive Classico games after Guardiola. While Guardiola was in charge of the Catalan club in 2011, he accomplished this achievement.

Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 3-1 in the Spanish Super Cup final, 1-0 in the first round of the Copa Del Rey, and most recently 2-1 at Camp Nou.

Real Madrid was beaten by Barcelona in both of the Classico’s legs this year. After the win at Camp Nou, Barcelona has a 12-point advantage over the Galacticos.
