Jose Mourinho Rejected Man United’s Offer To Sign Virgil Van Dijk.

Famous British broadcaster Chris Kamara has said that he once suggested to Jose Mourinho that Manchester United purchase Virgil van Dijk.

Liverpool beat out other teams in the battle to buy star defender Van Dijk in January 2018 for a fee of £75 million, and it has turned out to be money well spent.

The Dutch international went on to become one of the finest defenders in both the English Premier League and the whole globe.

He assisted the Reds in winning the Premier League and the Champions League, among other trophies.

When working for Manchester United, former Sky Sports reporter Kamara claims he advised former Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Inter Milan manager Mourinho to buy Van Dijk from Southamton, and it seems the Portuguese manager was open to a deal.

The venerable manager, Mourinho, allegedly said that Manchester United was unwilling to pay so much money to recruit Van Dijk.

According to Kamara, who just acquired an MBE, “I can exclusively say that I encouraged Jose Mourinho to take Virgil van Dijk to Manchester United,” he claimed on the Proper Football podcast.

“This guys [Man Utd] won’t give me the money for him,” Jose stated. Van Dijk afterwards moved to Liverpool.
