It’s possible that Cristiano Ronaldo will make his much awaited Saudi Arabian debut in a friendly game against Paris Saint Germain and Lionel Messi.

After being punished by the English Football Association for knocking a fan’s phone out of their hand during Manchester United’s loss at Everton in April, Ronaldo missed the first of two domestic matches for Al Nassr on Friday.

However, Ronaldo will play for Al Nassr against PSG in a friendly on January 19 in Riyadh before taking on Ettifaq in the local league on January 22. This was verified by Al Nassr coach Rudi Garcia.

According to Garcia, “it [his debut] won’t be with the Al Nassr shirt,” L’Équipe said. “A combination of Al Hilal and Al Nassr will be used. With the amount of attention Ronaldo has received since the transfer, Garcia compared his entrance in Saudi Arabia to Pelé’s move to the New York Cosmos.
