Following Tottenham’s 2–0 Victory Over West Ham, Star Player Son Receives Racist Remarks.

Son Heung-min received “utterly abhorrent” racial abuse online, prompting Tottenham to demand on social media firms to take action.

As Spurs defeated West Ham 2-0 on Sunday in the Premier League, Son, a replacement, scored the team’s second goal.

Tottenham tweeted that they have reported the abuse directed towards Son.

We support Sonny and once again urge authorities and social media firms to take appropriate action, they said.

Tottenham also said

We’ve been informed of the club’s complaint of the abhorrently racist remarks made online against Heung-Min Son during today’s game.

Kick It Out, an anti-racism organization, called for “serious improvements” earlier this month when Brentford striker Ivan Toney received racist abuse on Instagram.
