Buried Ghanaian Star Christian Atsu

Several hundred individuals, including the president of Ghana, are paying their condolences to Christian Atsu, who perished in the Turkish earthquake last month.

In Accra, the capital of Ghana, his burial is being conducted in front of State House.

“In life I adore you dear, in death I’ll do the same,” read the heartbreaking tribute from the footballer’s spouse, Marie-Claire Rupio.

She gave Atsu’s sister her speech to read since she was so moved with emotion.

It added, “You did not travel alone, because a portion of me went with you. “I see your smile and your love in the smiles of our children.”

Atsu’s Turkish club Hatayspor as well as representatives of Ghana’s national team attended the event.

A week after the earthquake, Atsu’s corpse was found under the debris of his apartment complex.
