Barcelona Extends Alarcon’s Contract, Who Is Their Newest La Masia Prospect.

Barcelona has taken action to extend Angel Alarcon’s contract. He is their newest La Masia prospect.

Along with continuing efforts to secure new contracts for Ronald Araujo and Gavi of the first team, La Blaugrana is working on a number of contract arrangements for its up-and-coming players in 2023.

Alarcon received his senior debut from Xavi in the 5-0 Copa del Rey victory against Ceuta earlier this month, and the former Spanish international has predicted that he will play for the first squad in the next weeks.

As Xavi works to preserve the road for academy talents to reach the first team, his 12 goals for the Barcelona Juvenil A squad have raised his prominence inside the organization.

His new deal, which extends from June through 2025 and reportedly has a €400 million release clause for the 18-year-old, replaces the one that was set to expire in that month.

Alarcon is anticipated to remain with the Barcelona B club in 2023 as they attempt to gain entry into the Segunda Division.
