Barcelona And Yannick Carrasco And Atletico Madrid Have An Agreement.

It has been widely rumored that the Blaugrana will have the opportunity to acquire Yannick Carrasco in the summer before Memphis Depay’s expected transfer to Atletico Madrid.

The Blaugrana first seemed to want to sign Carrasco as a direct exchange player for Memphis, but Los Colchoneros were not prepared to agree to that.

Following the ratification of the Memphis agreement, further information emerged stating that Barcelona would have the option to purchase Carrasco in the summer if they so desired. Todofichajes go a step farther and assert that all parties have already approved the agreement.

After the current campaign, Carrasco will say farewell to Atleti in return for €20 million. His recent public statement that he was “just thinking about Atletico” may no longer be true after June.

If such is the case, Los Colchoneros will benefit from Carrasco even more in terms of commerce. If the calculations are correct, Atletico Madrid will have generated a profit of €8 million over the two transactions of the player they acquired from Monaco, sold to Dalian Yifang, and then purchased again. At 29 years old and with his contract expiring in 2024, this could have been their final opportunity to sell him for a fair price.
