Arsenal Offered £52.5 Million, But Zubimendi Rejected Them.

The 23-year-£52.5 old’s million release clause was reportedly something that Arsenal was prepared to meet.

However, despite Sociedad having a fantastic season and now holding the third spot in La Liga, Zubimendi does not want to leave his old team.

The representatives of Zubimendi were in London on Friday for discussions, but it seems that no agreement will be reached until the summer.

Real Sociedad and Zubimendi have agreed to a new deal that binds him to the La Liga team until 2027.

Zubimendi was content not to boost his release clause, which Real Sociedad had tried to raise to €90 million (£79 million).

Manchester United and Barcelona have also been mentioned in connection with his performances.

He is capable of playing both a more forward position and the defensive midfielder position that he often fills for the Spanish team.
