After being called a “YouTube player,” £86 million sensation Antony has been defended by ERIK TEN HAG.

After the Red Devils’ Sunday loss to Arsenal, Antony came under fire, and club greats Rio Ferdinand and Gary Neville urged him to improve.
The 22-year-old has made 19 appearances for United in all competitions and has scored five goals, but he has not recorded a single assist and often displays his showboating.
While defending Antony, manager Ten Hag acknowledged that the Brazilian can yet do better.
The manager of United said: “I believe there is room for him to perform better.
“For instance, and I’m sure you already know this, we want him to be more active and direct.
“However, as I have said, the team performs better with him on the field.
“That’s great, and it provides a solid foundation upon which to grow. He’s already improved, in my opinion.
“He scored three goals in his first three [Premier League] contests.
“He was scoring against Charlton in the Carabao Cup and Everton in the FA Cup, so he also has an effect on those results.
“But I believe he is capable of doing much more with his skills and abilities. However, as I have said, I believe he has contributed [well] to the squad.”
Before United’s Carabao Cup semifinal match against Nottingham Forest, in which they want to secure a position in the championship game, the message was sent.
After Antony was replaced against Arsenal, Neville made the following remarks on his podcast, The Gary Neville Podcast: “I wish the front players in the last third were of higher caliber.
“Sancho isn’t playing, so it stands to reason that Manchester United should have better choices on the bench. However, as of right now, they don’t.
