A Heartfelt Letter From Ronaldinho To Messi

The legendary Ronaldinho of Brazil has written an emotional letter to his younger self that includes a heartfelt note for a young Lionel Messi.

While Ronaldinho played for a number of prestigious teams, including Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan, he announced his retirement from professional football in 2018. However, the Brazilian is most known for his time spent with Barcelona in Spain.

Dinho won his first and only Ballon d’Or in 2005 when playing for the Spanish powerhouses, when he was at the height of his abilities.

One year before receiving the honor, a little-known 17-year-old Argentine named Lionel Messi made his debut alongside the legendary Brazilian, coming in to replace Deco in the 82nd minute of a 1-0 victory over local rivals Espanyol.

Few could have foreseen the career that Lionel Messi would have at the time, but Ronaldinho has reflected on his career in the past in a piece published by theplayertribune, remarking of the kid’s mesmerizing skills.
