The late decision to put Gabriel Martinelli in his team for the 2022 World Cup has been revealed by Tite, the coach of Brazil.
With five goals and two assists, Martinelli has been in superb form for Arsenal, who lead the Premier League after 13 games under Mikel Arteta.
Despite his excellent performances, the 21-year-old only seemed to have a remote chance of reaching Tite’s team after being passed over for the international matches in September.
However, it was announced on Monday that Martinelli will be traveling to Qatar.
After announcing his World Cup roster, Tite was questioned over his decision to choose Martinelli.
Martinelli’s aggression is what we enjoy. He represents one of the best players for Premier League champion Arsenal.
He excels in one-on-one situations, transitions are swift, and his performance has been consistently strong.
