Nigeria’s diligent exporters received a refund of N81 billion, according to Godwin Emefiele, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), in an effort to increase the country’s non-oil income output.

Emefiele disclosed this information on Tuesday at the BI-annual RT-200 Non-Export Summit in Lagos, which Naijanowell was there to cover.

“We want to work with the Ministry of Trade and Investment to enhance the industry so that exporters will be motivated to perform better and get refunds.

 

This N81 billion that we have already paid is evidence of the CBN’s determination to enable a rapid acceleration of the export value chain in the Country.
