Speaking About Lionel Messi’s Return To The Club, Barcelona President

Lionel Messi’s return to Barcelona is something that the club would “very much” want, according to Barcelona president Joan Laporta.

In 2021, Messi departed the LaLiga team for Paris Saint-Germain after almost 20 years and multiple championships at the Nou Camp.

The 35-year-first old’s two-year deal with PSG expires in the summer, but it is said that he has reached an agreement to extend it until the summer of 2024.

Laporta is optimistic that Messi will rejoin the team in the future, however.

He is the greatest player ever, in our opinion.

Since he has been with us, I am certain that he is a Culé at heart and will always be associated with Barça.

Laporta said to club reporters, citing Barca Universal, “Whether or not he comes back as a player, at the moment he is at PSG and we would very much want him to come back one day, but we will see.
