Ronaldo Must Be Fired Right Away by Man United, Says Gary Neville

Manchester United “know they have to terminate” Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract, according to Gary Neville.

The Portuguese attacker said in a TalkTV interview that he had no respect for manager Erik ten Tag and felt “betrayed” by the team.

Along with his former United teammates Wayne Rooney and Neville, Ronaldo also voiced his criticism of the club’s owners.

The striker has faced criticism from the fans, some of whom think he is damaging his legacy at Old Trafford.

If he wanted a way out, he wouldn’t have agreed to this interview. “He was aware that it would terminate his Manchester United career and generate the headlines that it has,” Neville told Sky Sports.

I’m curious as to what Manchester United is doing given that they are aware that they must void Cristiano’s contract lest they set a precedent that would allow other players to criticize them in the future.

The fact is that if you’re an employee inside a company and say such things, your job has to end, and Manchester United have to do that in the coming days. I agree with part of what Cristiano has stated, and many Manchester United supporters will agree with many of his statements.
