Mane finally speaks out after being disqualified from the World Cup

After it was announced that he will not compete in the 2022 FIFA World Cup due to injury, Senegal striker Sadio Mane has finally spoken out.

Mane has been disqualified from competing in this year’s World Cup in Qatar because he was unable to fully recuperate from his injury.

Earlier this month, during Bayern Munich’s 6-1 triumph against Werder Bremen, the top player sustained a knee injury.

Mane addressed the situation in a message on his Twitter account on Sunday and praised God that the procedure he had was successful.

Writes the former Liverpool star:

Thank God for a successful midweek surgery. I’d want to use this chance to express my gratitude to you all.

“Our beloved nation will participate in the Qatar 2022 World Cup on Monday. I have no doubt that the Lions will surpass themselves and treat every game like a genuine championship.

“I am also certain that every Senegalese will be in front of the television to cheer on and support our brave national team,” the author continues.

Along with Ecuador, Netherlands, and Qatar, Senegal is in Group A.
