In Light Of Potential Man Utd Transfer Rumors, Enzo Fernandez Speaks Out On Benfica’s Future.

Despite rumors that he would switch to Manchester United in the January transfer window, Enzo Fernandez has emphasized that he is still entirely focused on Benfica.

The Argentine international was a key member of the South American team that won the World Cup in Qatar, starting against France in the championship match.

The 21-year-old, who just joined the Portuguese team this summer after leaving River Plate, is drawing interest from a number of international teams, with United reportedly being one of them.

Fernandez participated in all seven games for Lionel Scaloni’s team and was named Young Player of the Tournament in the Middle East. He began the first two games on the sidelines but was selected to start the next five games.

When questioned about his future, Fernandez downplayed rumors that he may join the Reds—or any other team, for that matter—in the near future.

According to Ge Globo.com, Fernandez said, “I don’t know anything about it.” “My agency should handle it; I don’t want to become involved.

“I’m concentrating on Benfica since we have a crucial game coming up soon. To participate in the game on Friday, I have a late-night trip.

Benfica will play Braga on Friday to open their domestic season. The team led by Roger Schmidt is presently in first place in the Primeira Liga standings after winning 12 of their first 13 games. In 24 appearances across all leagues, Fernandez has three goals and five assists.
