In 2026, Robert Lewandowski is up for another World Cup.
|Robert Lewandowski, the captain of Poland, is willing to compete in the 2026 World Cup.
Poland finished second in Group C behind Argentina under Lewandowski’s captaincy, and they advanced to the round of 16 for the first time since 1986. In addition, the Barcelona forward finally scored a World Cup goal in Qatar.
Nevertheless, despite Lewandowski converting a late penalty, their campaign was over after a Kylian Mbappe-inspired 3-1 France victory in the first knockout round.
Lewandowski will turn 35 in the summer of 2019 and will be 38 before the USA, Canada, and Mexico host the 2026 World Cup, but he isn’t completely ruling out playing in the event.
