Eric Garcia of Barcelona tells who he believes to be Man City’s top player.

After a time at Manchester City, Eric Garcia returned to Barcelona and gave his reasons for doing so, naming Bernardo Silva as the team’s finest player.

Garcia joined City in the summer of 2017 and made a good impression on Pep Guardiola. The center-back did, however, inform Guardiola and the Blues in August 2020 that he had no interest in re-signing with the team.

The kid would continue working at the Etihad until the conclusion of that campaign, when his contract would expire. Garcia later returned to Barcelona, and Guardiola expressed disappointment that the defender could not see his long-term future in England.

Speaking with Gerard Romero on Twitch, Garcia revealed more about his departure from the City. I am completely aware of my ability, he said.

“I’m from Manchester City, where there was plenty of competition, so I had to use that to my advantage. In Barcelona, there is intense rivalry, which improves us all.

“I was desperate to see Barcelona. Pep heard what I said and understood it completely.

Prior to joining Barca, Garcia made a total of 35 games for the Blues’ senior squad. The center defender has an excellent sense of the caliber of City’s team because of his extended stay at the Etihad.

The defense identified Bernardo as the best player on the team in light of this. He gave the following justification for his choice: “I’ve always stated that Bernardo Silva is the finest player at City.

“He will have to compete for his starting spot if he comes to Barcelona since there is a lot of competition here.” The Portuguese midfielder has frequently been connected with Camp Nou, but Guardiola has so far been managed to hang onto his star player.
