Chelsea Is “Considering A Deal For Joao Felix Of Atletico Madrid.”

Joao Felix, a striker for Atletico Madrid, is reportedly a target for Chelsea next month.

Graham Potter wants to add reinforcements for the second half of the season to help his team’s quest for the top-four. The Blues have the fewest goals scored in the top half of the Premier League this season.

According to The Telegraph, Chelsea is especially interested in Felix and is prepared to investigate the possibility of bringing him to Stamford Bridge on an initial loan deal in January.

In the summer, the west London firm would want to make the change permanent.

Atletico is reportedly preparing for a proposal from Chelsea and would be willing to trade Felix if they were to get a favorable offer.

The Spanish juggernauts spent £114 million on Felix in 2019, but they do not anticipate receiving an offer in that much for the 21-year-old.

When the transfer market opens, Potter plans to prioritize adding a winger, a position that Felix dominated when playing for Portugal at the World Cup in Qatar.

Felix started on the left wing for four of Portugal’s five games. He scored against Ghana in the team’s first game and added two assists in the last-16 victory against Switzerland.

After losing favor with Atletico this season, the youthful attacker gave a welcome reminder of his abilities.

Felix has started only five LaLiga games in 2022–23, and with Chelsea ramping up their interest, his days at Atletico seem to be finished.

Chelsea seems to be in the midst of negotiations with Monaco for center-back Benoit Badiashile, while they are also reportedly keeping their eye on RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol.
