After Messi Won The World Cup, Cristiano Ronaldo Is Struggling.

Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of Portugal, is “having a hard time” accepting Argentina winning the World Cup and the lack of interest from elite clubs in him.

The 37-year-old is reportedly waiting in Dubai before joining the Saudi Arabian team Al-Nassr, according to Marca.

Ronaldo is still expected to join Al-Nassr before the new year.

Ronaldo’s contract with Manchester United was terminated, making him a free agent for the moment.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner seems to have been shunned by European football because they couldn’t support his extravagant demands for money and prestige.

Additionally, his performance in the 2022 World Cup did not help.

Ronaldo was not included in Fernando Santos’ starting lineups for the Round of 16 match against Switzerland. In a 6-1 victory, his substitute Goncalo Ramos scored three goals.

Ramos was once again preferred over Ronaldo for the 1-0 loss to Morocco in the quarterfinal, with the former United striker entering both games as a second-half replacement.

On the other side, Messi started every round of the competition’s knockout stage and scored, helping his nation win the World Cup.

Messi scored twice against France in the championship game, and he also made his penalty shot in the shootout, helping Argentina win the trophy after 36 years.

Because of his many victories and advantage over his enduring adversary Ronaldo, many analysts and fans have dubbed him the Greatest of All Time (GOAT).
