A Manchester United defender discusses his future while being linked to Barcelona

Diogo Dalot, a defender for Manchester United, has said that he is not too concerned about the future, despite the fact that his current contract expires at the conclusion of the current campaign and that clubs like Barcelona and Real Madrid are rumored to be interested in signing him.

Barcelona is interested in Dalot, 23, since the Blaugrana’s right-back situation is becoming more problematic. There is currently no permanent solution since both Sergi Roberto and Hector Bellerin are prone to injuries, which is the main cause of the current problem.

Barcelona is compelled to investigate the market more as a consequence, and it turns out that Dalot suits the situation just well.

It should be recalled that Mateu Alemany, the club’s sports director, said the squad had developed a strategy to make better additions in the summer. The strategy calls for either pursuing young prodigies or those whose present contracts expire at the conclusion of the current season.

Dalot does have a contract with Man United for another year, but nothing has changed in that sense as of yet. However, a streak of 16 starts across all competitions for a guy who was primarily brought in as Aaron Wan-backup Bissaka’s shows United has confidence in the kid.

The defender has finally spoken out, declaring that performance improvement is the only thing on his mind right now, not a prospective extension or relocation elsewhere.

“I don’t believe this is the appropriate moment to consider my contract status. As a squad, we’re working to raise our level of play, the defender said, according to Fabrizio Romano.

As I constantly try to demonstrate, I love to play for Manchester United, and I’m happy, so that’s what matters most, he said.
