Iran To U.S: Step Aside So You Won’t Get Hit.
|
Iran has asked the US to “step aside” as it prepares a response to the suspected Israeli attack on its consulate in Syria. The Iranian president’s deputy chief of staff for political affairs revealed this on X.
The US reportedly asked Iran not to hit American targets, but the US has not officially commented on the alleged message from Iran.
CNN reports that the US is on high alert and expects a “significant” response from Iran against Israeli or American targets in the region.
Hezbollah, Iran’s main proxy in the Middle East, has also warned Israel that it is prepared for war.
While Iran has vowed to deliver a “slap” to Israel, it remains unclear whether the attack will be direct or through proxy groups like Hezbollah.
