Anambra bans public display of caskets, depositing corpse beyond 60 days

The Anambra State Government has prohibited the open show of caskets for manufacture and deal within the state.

This was contained within the law passed by the state House of Gathering on Thursday, February 1, to control burial and memorial service exercises within the state.

By this law, all morgue specialists are to report to the Service of Wellbeing on any body that has remained past one month from the date it was kept. The law moreover cautioned that any individual who repudiates the arrangements will be fined N100,000 or six months detainment or both.

It further stipulated that all burial and memorial service ceremonies of innate perished people within the state shall be enrolled with the town union of the perished.
