Yemi Kale, A Former Nbs Executive, Is Appointed Head Economist By Kpmg.

Oyeyemi Kale, a former director of the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), has been named a partner and chief economist at KPMG Nigeria.

 

Dr. Oyeyemi Kale joins our company as Partner and Chief Economist of KPMG Nigeria, and the Partners and employees of KPMG Nigeria are thrilled to welcome him, according to a statement from the accounting firm.

 

KPMG said that Kale is anticipated to lead the company’s macroeconomic viewpoint and broaden the scope of its economic modeling-based solutions.

 

Yemi will broaden the scope of our solutions incorporating economic modeling and macroeconomic research for customers in the commercial and governmental sectors as our Chief Economist, leading the firm’s perspective on macroeconomics.

 

He has extensive expertise in macroeconomic analysis, financial, economic, and investment research, as well as advising on fiscal and macroeconomic policy, having worked in both the public and private sectors.

 

In addition to having a B.Sc. with honors in Economics from Addis Abeba University and a first-class grade, Kale also possesses an M.Sc. with distinction and a Ph.D. in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

 

In 2011, the previous president Goodluck Jonathan nominated him as the federation’s statistician-general and CEO of NBS. President Muhammadu Buhari then reappointed him for a second five-year term, which would last until 2021.
