Workers in Ondo are charged for diligence and providing services.

On Wednesday, the Ondo State Government urged its employees to do their tasks with more diligence and commitment.

This was said during a prayer gathering that the ministry organized by the state’s commissioner of finance, Mr. Wale Akinterinwa.

While advising them to continue handling government property with care, Akinterinwa also counseled them to keep becoming better and being honest in their profession.

The personnel’ dedication and collaboration had helped the ministry become one of the finest in the state, and the commissioner appreciated that.

“Let’s dress appropriately for work; let’s dress decently; let’s conduct ourselves with dignity because we are people of dignity; let that show in both our looks and our words because we are a distinctive people.

Whatever you did well in 2022, improve on it this year, he said. What you didn’t improve on last year, do so this year.

Additionally, Akinterinwa advised the employees to keep praying for Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu’s health and increased knowledge so that he may “guide the state to the promised land.”

Prophet Jide Ekpobomini prayed for a fruitful and prosperous year for all the workers earlier in his lecture.

Ekpobomini, who doubles as the ministry’s permanent secretary, exhorted the staff to work hard and guarantee efficient service delivery.

Mrs. Funmilayo Ayodele-Adekanbi, a staff member of the ministry, expressed gratitude to God for the ability to see 2023 and pledged to do her all to make this year productive at work.

Ayodele-Adekanbi took advantage of the opportunity to thank the state administration for paying the state employees’ outstanding paychecks.
