Winners In Lagos Get Certificates Of Return From INEC On Thursday.

Thursday has been set aside by Lagos State’s Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the distribution of Certificates of Return to election victors in the state’s House of Assembly and Governorship elections on March 18.

This information was provided by Mrs. Adenike Tadese, Head of Department, Voter Education and Publicity, in a statement made on Monday on behalf of Mr. Olusegun Agbaje, INEC’s Resident Electoral Commissioner in Lagos State.

The issue of Certificates of Return to the Governor and Vice Governor-Elect and the elected members of the State House of Assembly is planned by INEC Lagos State on Thursday, March 30.

By 11:00am, the event must start at the Media Center, State Office, 6, Birrel Avenue, Yaba, Lagos.

She claims that attendance at the certificate presentation is only permitted by invitation.

She asked attendees to maintain discipline and organization during the event.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the state’s governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the APC, and his running partner and deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, won re-election for a second term on March 18.

Also, during the March 18 state assembly election, candidates for the APC secured 38 of the 40 seats in the Lagos State House of Assembly, while those for the Labour Party secured two.
