Wike’s Soldiers Get Hit By The Pdp’s Axe

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDPNational )’s Working Committee (NWC) rose from an emergency meeting in Abuja on Friday and immediately suspended Okorie Tochukwu Okoroafor, the head of the party’s chapter in the state of Ebonyi, in what could be described as a gradual crackdown on the Iyorchia Ayu leadership.

Okoroafor was allegedly suspended due to charges of anti-party activity and a breach of Section 58 (1) of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017).

Since the organization of the party’s presidential primary election in May 2022, the Governor Nyesom Wike group, often known as G-5 or the integrity group, has been at war with Ayu.

Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president, defeated Wike in that election.

The former Enugu State governor, Chimaroke Nnamani, and Chief Chris Ogbu were suspended by the party last week (Imo State).

Ajijola Lateef Oladimeji and Ayeni Funso, both from Ekiti, were also suspended (Ekiti Central) Ademola Emiola Jennifer (Ekiti South II) (Ekiti South II) (Ekiti North II), Ajayi Babatunde Samuel, Olayinka Fayose Oluwajomiloju John, Akerele Oluyinka, and James Olalere (all of Ekiti Central) (Ekiti Central I)

The PDP said that its National Working Committee had thoroughly examined Okoroafor’s behavior and actions before deciding to suspend him in a statement from Debo Ologunagba, national publicity secretary.

According to the party’s NWC, the decision was made in accordance with Sections 29(2)(b) and 57(3) of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017).

Additionally, it sent Okoroafor to the proper disciplinary body of the party for further action.
