Why Rivers Residents Ought To Reject The Pdp – Coalition Takes On Wike

In the March 18 gubernatorial election, the Coalition of South East Youth Leaders, COSEYL, has urged all Rivers State people to reject the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), claiming that Nyesom Wike is an unreliable leader.

The coalition claimed that the present government supported the fraud of the recently held presidential election in a statement released on Friday by its President-General, Goodluck Ibem.

Online stories about the manipulation and counting of Labour Party votes in favor of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have become popular.

Igbo residents in the state, according to COSEYL, have being pressured to vote for PDP or shut down their businesses.

The group asserts that no one has the authority to threaten or force others into not casting their votes for their preferred candidates.

“We want all Igbos in Rivers State to understand that Wike’s call for a meeting to threaten them with voting PDP or else he will declare their properties abandoned property demonstrates his fear and alarm over their votes, which will send him to prison if his PDP governorship candidate, who he wants to cover his looting spree, loses in the elections.

“We firmly advise all Rivers citizens to reject any intimidation from Wike and his goons and to vote for the candidates of their choosing,”
