– Tinubu Insinuations About My Health Are Lies and Rubbish

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for president, dismissed the health issue that has been heavily linked to him.

In an interview with Freedom Radio, the former Lagos State governor said that while doing the smaller Hajj in Saudi Arabia, he had “just” completed watching seven rounds between Safa and Marwa, something a sick person could not.

Recall Critics of Tinubu have often asserted that his claimed bad health renders him unfit to lead Nigeria.

He responded to the charges by saying,

“Ah! I have told you where I’m at. I just completed the Umrah. I went on my own for the seven tawaf rounds and seven excursions between Safa and Marwa. Can someone who is ill do that? Brother, that information is outdated. Those who are insinuating are only able to spew forth false information.

“I am in Saudi Arabia, yes. It’s an individual journey. It is a journey intended to revive the soul. I like sometimes traveling to make the Umrah. It is a chance to communicate with the All-Powerful Allah, Lam ya lid wam yulad. We need his direction. We are here to pray for our nation, ourselves, and society because Nigeria needs prayers, Tinubu remarked.

He said that instead of engaging people personally and indirectly, he had been engaging the media and refusing interviews.

Why do you say that? Do we not currently have interviews? I’ve recently completed interacting with individuals in person and at town hall meetings. Those who believe that are losers and will also lose.

“To address various audiences, I have walked about, talked on various stages, and stood for extended periods of time. They previously said I was unable to stand or walk. It embarrassed them. I have gathered more unique ideas than anybody else since the campaign began.

“I have shown to have knowledge, expertise, and a tremendous ability for staying on top of national concerns. Additionally, this position involves concepts and problems relating to our nation’s leadership.

“I have what it takes to lead the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and I’m pleading with my fellow citizens to have faith and respect in that. Take a look at my experience and prior projects. I want to provide my nation the best possible service.

“It seems obvious that we are going to win this election based on the interactions we are having. The signals are there, and as the elections get closer, our opponents are nervous. In order to get quick points, they have now turned to spreading false information and citing some of my words out of context.
