The Government Of Kano Lifts The Dusk-to-dawn Curfew
|Due to violence after the anticipated results of the governor’s and state assembly elections, a dawn-to-dusk curfew was imposed in Kano state. This curfew has now been removed.
The declaration’s author, the state’s commissioner for information and internal affairs, Muhammad Garba, asked citizens, government workers, and commercial bankers to continue with their usual responsibilities. Also, he thanked the people of the state for their cooperation throughout the curfew.
The following was said in the statement: “The decision to remove the curfew was decided after a comprehensive analysis of the circumstances and the general calm throughout the state. We encourage individuals to do their lawful activities without worrying about being harassed or molested.
“We are grateful for everyone’s cooperation throughout the curfew. We implore them to keep up the peace and order.
