Russian Attack On City In East Ukraine Results In Three Deaths.

Russian forces attacked the Ukrainian city of Konstantynivka in the east on Saturday, leaving three people dead and at least two more injured.

The governor of the Donetsk region, Pavlo Kyrylenko, said on social media that “the Russians shot at a residential neighborhood, destroyed four multi-story buildings, a hotel, garages and civilian automobiles.”

“Three innocent bystanders perished. At least two people were hurt, he said.

While “helping individuals and meticulously recording yet another atrocity by the Russian invaders on our country,” Kyrylenko added, rescue personnel and police officers were on the scene.

Images of apartment complexes with blown-out windows and debris strewn around a burning automobile were shared on Kyrylenko’s Telegram account.

Russia is attempting to regain control of the whole Donetsk area, which it has already annexed, over a year after it invaded Ukraine.

This week, Ukraine reported that Russian forces had intensified their eastward assaults, notably on the villages of Vugledar and Bakhmut.

Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, said on Friday that the situation on the front was “very serious,” especially in the Donetsk area.
