Police Are Looking For Ndlea Commander Over Married Woman’s Death

The State Police Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, is now holding Femi, the Zonal Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Minna, Niger State, for an alleged culpable murder.

The death of a married lady, Mrs. Christiana Williams, was said to have occurred at Femi’s home on Saturday afternoon along Bay Clinic Road in Minna, just across from the old B.Y. shops.

The lady, who was allegedly asthmatic, had gone to the NDLEA zonal commander’s home on the pretense of selling undergarments, where they engaged in sexual activity, before having a crisis and collapsing.

Yesterday about 2pm, the suspect, according to DailyPost, hurried the corpse to Bay Clinic along Bay Clinic Road in Minna, where the physicians verified the death before the patient ever arrived at the hospital.

Our correspondent learned that when the hospital suspected foul play, it immediately contacted the police at Tudun-Wada Police Station. This was in response to the NDLEA zonal commander’s claims that the woman had come to his house to deliver underwear before suddenly developing an asthma attack while he was running outside to get an inhaler for her.

Nevertheless, it was learned that Williams, the wife’s husband, was upset and horrified by the occurrence and stated his asthmatic wife didn’t use an inhaler but did have some prescription medications she utilized to calm the situation during the crisis.

The suspect was afterwards reported to have been detained by the Tundun-Wada police command and then sent to the state’s CID for further investigation.

The suspect “brought the deceased lady nude but went home and returned with her trousers, brassiere, and other garment items and wore them on her,” a dependable source from the hospital further said to DailyPost.

The incidence was verified by the state police’s public relations officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, when he was approached.

He claimed an investigation is being conducted at the moment.
