“Jesus Is Lord,” Admits The Ooni Of Ife

Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, acknowledged Jesus as Lord on Saturday at the Grand-Finale of the New Year Prayer hosted by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

The king continued by describing people who deny the existence of the Almighty God as stupid.

Oba Ogunwusi, who led several Christian songs of worship and adoration throughout the event, emphasized the benefit of always praising and appreciating the Lord Jesus Christ.

“When I look back, I see that despite all the difficulties I’ve experienced, God has worked many marvels and miracles in my life. But today, the Lord granted me victory over every obstacle.

“Last year, I sat down here having experienced many hardships and storms of life that I cannot express, but to God be the Glory, my humiliation has now been transformed into joy.

“I saw that the Lord had aided me thus far from where I had begun. My understanding is that the Lord is alive. Anyone who denies the existence of God is a fool, the traditional leader said.

Adding that “actually, He is the son of God and He is the one who resides with him (Ogunwusi) on the throne,” he exhorted Christians to keep fast to Jesus Christ.

No one who cooperated with God ever lost, according to Ooni, who also said that material possessions are not everything in life.

According to him, among other things, God’s kindness included things like good health, safety, and provision.

The traditional chief urged the CAN leaders to serve God completely instead of waiting for God to reward them.

Ogunwusi used the Bible when he stated,

Because He rewards those who seek Him faithfully.

Ooni reaffirmed his vow to devote the remainder of his life to serving God and the greater good while also continuing to strive for the advancement of Ile-Ife, Osun, the Yoruba people, and the nation as a whole.

He exhorted everyone to constantly be grateful to God and to have complete faith in Him so that He would grant them all of their demands in life.
