EFCC re-arrests Dibu Ojerinde, a former JAMB registrar.
|Former Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) registrar Dibu Ojerinde has been taken into custody by agents of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences (ICPC).
According to TheCable, Jimoh Olabisi, a former JAMB deputy director, said in court on Wednesday that the former registrar had exploited him to steal money from the federal government.
An ICPC witness named Olabisi gave a speech before the federal high Court in Abuja. Ojerinde was charged by the ICPC on July 6, 2021, with misappropriating money totaling N5.2 billion over 18 counts.
As the leader of JAMB and the National Examination Council, the former registrar allegedly perpetrated several frauds, according to the commission (NECO).
