Bagudu Is Pleased With How The Elections Were Conducted Peacefully.

The governor of Kebbi, Atiku Bagudu, expressed his delight with the high voter participation and the orderly conduct of the presidential and national assembly elections.

Bagudu revealed this to the media immediately after casting his ballot on Saturday at his voting place in Garkar Mai-Alelu, Nasarawa 11, Birnin Kebbi.

He praised the excellent behavior of voters throughout the voting process and complimented security forces for their outstanding work in maintaining a calm environment.

The governor noted that the enhancements made by INEC had also made the process run more smoothly.

He said: “I am aware of the widespread criticism in Kebbi State over the late delivery of election materials to various polling units which delayed the start of the voting.”

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the governor cast his ballot at his polling place at 12:40 p.m. following a four-hour wait caused by the late delivery of election supplies.

Hajiya Aisha Bagudu and Dr. Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu, the governor’s wives, had earlier praised the significant number of women who had turned out to vote in separate speeches.

They advised young people and women to vote patiently and lawfully.
