At Age 70, Buhari Honors Chekwas Okorie.

On the occasion of Chief Chekwas Okorie’s 70th birthday, President Muhammadu Buhari celebrated with the former national chairman and United Progressives Party (UPP) candidate for president in 2015.

The president joined relatives, friends, and well-wishers in Abuja on Friday to honor the statesman, according to a statement released by his spokesperson, Mr. Femi Adesina.

Buhari claims that Okorie shares many of the principles upheld by Nigeria’s founding fathers, such as peace, stability, and unity in diversity.

Over his many years as a politician, philanthropist, and community leader, he saw that Okorie had always been motivated by his admirable ideal of shared wealth for all people.

The president thanked Okorie for his unflinching support in helping him win re-election in 2019 and remembered the UPP’s commitment to the administration’s goal of improving Nigeria.

He asserts that the almighty God will bestow upon the celebrant the power, knowledge, and health necessary to achieve even more for mankind when he counts his blessings as a septuagenarian.
