Alabi’s Dismissal As Lagos Cp Is Denied By The Lagos Police Command.

The news that said Abiodun Alabi had been fired as the commissioner of police for Lagos State was incorrect, according to the Lagos State Police Command.

According to Benjamin Hundeyin, the Command’s spokesman, the Command has received several requests for clarity on the position of the Commissioner of Police inside the Command.

“We desire to say unequivocally that CP Abiodun Alabi is still the commissioner of police in Lagos State,” he stated. For the avoidance of doubt, Lagos State has not received a Commissioner of Police posting.

“Therefore, the general public is encouraged to ignore the false information spreading that a new commissioner of police has been assigned to the Lagos State Police Command.

It is anticipated that this explanation would put an end to the constant flood of calls to Command officers, which has caused unnecessary attention and wasted time.

When the necessity arises, the Lagos State Police Command would inform the populace and the good people of Lagos State.
