Tinubu: The 2023 election is a battle to define Nigeria’s soul

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress, began his campaign on Tuesday in Jos, Plateau state, amid disturbances from the crowd.

Although the cause of the disturbance in the crowd was still unknown, video showed visibly incensed supporters throwing objects in the air.

The election in 2023 will “decide our collective fate” and “define the soul of the nation,” according to Tinubu, who said this during the flag-off.

Do we uphold the principles of widely shared wealth, competence, peace, justice, and compassion for all? He queried.

Or do we discard these ideals and lash out at the divisive politics of the past or at those whose rantings demonstrate their inability to distinguish between reality and fantasy?

At the campaign flag-off, President Muhammadu Buhari and senior APC leaders were present.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s attendance, Tinubu said, “is a great honor to me.”

“As campaign chairman, he pledged to take the initiative. President Buhari, a man of his word, has gone above and beyond.
