President Buhari names a hairdresser to lead the financial sector

President Muhammadu Buhari’s choice for executive director of the NEXIM Bank, Stella Okotete, is presently facing questions about her suitability for the job.

On December 1, at a press conference, lawyers from Lawyers for Justice Reform made a case for Okotete’s immediate dismissal.

Due to a number of charges of financial wrongdoing against her and her ineligibility to serve as the executive director of NEXIM Bank, the lawyers are requesting her dismissal.

Aare Oladotun Hassan, the group’s executive director and secretary of the NBA’s Epe Branch, reviewed Okotete’s résumé and declared that she lacked the qualifications necessary to be hired.

Hassan pointed out that despite strong support from the relevant senate committee, a petition to have her removed had been made in 2018.

The genuine credentials of Stella Okotete are revealed Okotete, according to him, does not have the required 18 years of expertise in financial problems, 13 of which must be in the banking industry.
