Kevin Spacey Will Appear In Court In The Uk On Fresh Sex Offense Allegations.
Kevin Spacey, an Oscar-winning actor, was scheduled to appear in court in London on Friday to answer to seven brand-new sexual offense accusations.
The star of “The Usual Suspects” and “American Beauty” was given extra charges, the prosecution stated last month.
In July, Spacey, 63, entered a not guilty plea to five allegations that were made against three men in London and Gloucestershire, western England, between 2005 and 2013.
At a hearing at Westminster Magistrates Court in central London beginning at 1400 GMT, the most recent accusations will be officially brought against him, a court representative informed AFP.
There are three counts of indecent assault, three counts of sexual assault, and one count of coercing someone into having intercourse without their permission.
They reportedly occurred between 2001 and 2004 and were all tied to one guy, according to the prosecution.
Under English law, it is not possible to identify any of the claimed victims. Further information cannot be shared before to trial due to reporting constraints.
In October, Spacey, who served as artistic director of London’s Old Vic Theatre from 2004 to 2015, had a $40 million sexual misconduct case against him dismissed by a New York judge.
The celebrity allegedly singled out Anthony Rapp when he was only 14 years old. But a court determined that he had filed the complaint too late to be charged criminally.
When the allegations became public, Spacey’s playing career came to an end five years ago. He was fired from other projects as well as the final season of the political thriller “House of Cards.”
Following the #MeToo movement of sexual assault and harassment in the film business, allegations against the actor surfaced.
In Massachusetts, in the northeastern United States, accusations of indecent exposure and sexual assault were dismissed against him in 2019.
Spacey has always refuted claims of sexual assault.
