In Akwa Ibom, a man kills his 20-year-old daughter after a family dispute.
The 20-year-old daughter of Sunday Etukudo, who allegedly murdered his daughter Ofonmbuk Sunday following a family disagreement, has been detained, according to the Akwa Ibom State Police Command.
The suspect stated that the dead daughter gripped his manhood during the altercation, causing him to use a stick to strike her head and cause her to fall, according to a statement from the command’s public relations officer, SP Odiko Macdon, made available to media in Uyo on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the suspect buried his daughter in his family’s grounds at Omum Unyiam Village in the state’s Etim Ekpo Local Government Area in order to hide his tracks. The police have since recovered the body and conserved it for an autopsy, according to the statement.

According to reliable information, one Ime Sunday Etukudo of Omum Unyiam village in Etim Ekpo Local Government Area unjustly murdered and buried his daughter, one Ofonmbuk Ime Sunday, age 20, in the family property in Omum Unyiam Village on October 9, 2022, at about 1910 hours.
“The defendant said that there was a family argument that became physical, that the victim stood up for his masculinity, that he then struck her on the head with a stick, killing her, and that he then chose to bury her in a shallow grave to hide his tracks.
In the Ukanafun Local Government Area of the state, the police allegedly stormed a kidnapper’s lair and detained Emediong Etuk, commonly known as Mopol, a renowned robbery and kidnapping kingpin.
According to the statement, the suspect admitted to carrying out a number of kidnappings and robberies, including the one that happened to Ekom Ime Akpan on October 13, 2022, before passing away.

“One Edet Uyo Ntung’m’ was arrested for the murder of one Emem Monday Uyo’m’, both of Afaha Ediene village in Ikono Local Government Area, on September 29, 2022, at about 1400 hours.
“Early inquiry showed that there was a persistent family dispute. The suspect, who is the deceased’s uncle and head of the family, invited him to his house under the guise of solving the issue. Instead, he pulled out his machete and hacked at his hand, neck, face, and other areas of his body, instantly killing himself.
According to the announcement, the Commissioner of Police, CP Olatoye Durosinmi, has ordered a secret investigation into the instances and said that suspects would be brought to court as soon as feasible.
Therefore, he cautioned the locals against self-help and recommended them to call the police if they had a dispute.
