I am aware of Nigeria’s issue, Peter Obi

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s nominee for president, has said that he is aware of the country’s fundamental issue.

Obi made this statement on Thursday while visiting Rivers State, where he had been called by governor Nyesom Wike to open the Nkpolu-Oroworokwo Flyover, the ninth flyover built under Wike’s watch.

Obi said that Nigeria’s lack of productivity was the country’s main issue.

He assured everyone of his dedication to making Nigeria a better place by saying that after surveying the nation, he understood what would help every area.

I am aware of the nation’s problems, he said. Nigeria is a state that produces little.

“I’ve said time and time again that I know what has to be done for the good of the whole nation. We would develop their huge territories, I assured them during our war there in the North. They own the land, therefore we’ll build on it.

“Our financial center will be in the South-West, and our industrial base will be in the East. In order to export from Rivers, we shall revitalize its sea port.

The presidential contender asked the people of Rivers to accept him as one of them and pledged support for the people of the state. He was greeted by a sizable throng in Port-Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State.

Wike promised in his statement that he would help Obi with the logistics of his campaign in Rivers.

“Let me know whenever you want to run a campaign in the state, and we’ll provide all the logistical assistance,” he stated.

“I know you as a person; you meet all the requirements and possess all the qualities necessary to govern our nation. No one can dispute that.

Obi was escorted to the inauguration by Datti Baba-Ahmed, his running companion.
