How a 16-year-old girl’s body was discovered in a Bayelsa hotel’s wardrobe

In a hotel closet in Twon-Brass Island, Brass Local Government Area (LGA), Bayelsa State, the corpse of 16-year-old Nengi Enenimiete was found in a state of disrepair.

Cleaning staff discovered the decaying bones, according to Daily Trust.

According to reports, she remained with a male visitor who had gone. The deceased’s body had no physical injuries, mutilations, or strangulations, according to sources at the hotel.

Natives of Brass are calling for the strange male visitor to be arrested and put under autopsy.

According to the evidence, the deceased’s companion met the male visitor on Saturday and introduced them. On Saturday, they both stayed at the hotel till his departure on Sunday.

According to a hotel source, the manager discovered the room was messy when he arrived and checked it, so he told the cleaner to clean it up for another guest. But the cleaner had to check the wardrobe when he saw water dripping on tiles from another area of the room.

They noticed an unpleasant odor as they were inspecting the space and immediately began looking for its cause. Later, they found the deceased’s motionless corpse in the closet,” he stated.

The incident was confirmed by the state police spokesperson, SP Asinim Butswat, who also stated that the body had been removed and taken to a mortuary for an autopsy.

Butswat said that an inquiry is still being conducted to determine what really happened.
