As residents flee, kidnappers take control of Ogun communities.

According to Naijanowell, residents of Oke-Ata, Soyoye, Ibara Orile, Rounder, and other villages in Ogun State’s Abeokuta North Local Government Area are now under kidnappers’ “siege.”

The afflicted villages, which include those near the Alamala Army Barracks, seem to have turned to religion as they get up and go to sleep with the worry that they may be kidnapped at any moment.

While speaking with our reporter, several of the locals voiced their concerns that the kidnappers, many of whom are equipped with high-tech guns, have become so confident that they no longer fear security personnel, as they murder or injure anybody who attempt to stop them.

According to research, the kidnappers always use military camouflage to conceal themselves and fool the people they are kidnapping in order to extract a ransom.

Additionally, it was learned that some locals have begun moving from the impacted regions to other areas of Abeokuta.

“Some of our residents in these areas have begun moving. The current renters are no longer interested in remaining. Why would someone continue to live in a place where he may be kidnapped at any time? We can’t really blame them.

“Those of us who are renters are unsure of our options. We have requested assistance from the police, Amotekun Corps, So-Safe Corps, vigilantes, and everyone else. Although they have been doing their best, it seems that they are overburdened. An unnamed homeowner in the region said, “I’m scared some landlords may leave their homes to become renters outdoors there.

The frequency with which kidnappers carry out their heinous crime by abducting innocent citizens of Oke-Ata, Ibara Orile, Soyoye and other areas is growing daily, according to a message going around on social media.

“The kidnappers are now making it their business to abduct unsuspecting residents of Oke-Ata, Ibara Orile, Soyoye, and the surrounding areas and demand substantial ransom payments.

Families of the victim who was abducted and rescued by God after a hefty ransom was paid to the kidnappers said that the kidnappers often wear military uniforms. They number from five to fifteen. Additionally, it demonstrates that they use AK-47 and AK-49 weapons.

It has also been shown that kidnappers commit these heinous crimes in areas where there are bushes, which they utilize as hiding places, escape routes, and meeting spots when they phone the relatives of their victims to demand payment before the victims may be freed.

As a result, a resident of Oke-Ata has requested the local and state governments take action by requesting that Baales and Chairmen of all Community Development Associations in all areas where there are bushes notify owners of abandoned lands and unfinished buildings to come and start work on their land within one week.
