APC Claims Atiku Has Too Many Betrayal Records

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been labeled a traitor by the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

This was said in a statement released on Thursday by Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, Director of Special Media Projects and New Media for the Tinubu/Shettima PCC, in response to a comment attributed to Senator Dino Melaye, spokesman for the PDP Presidential Campaign Management Committee.

Melaye referred to Senator Kashim Shettima, the vice presidential candidate for the APC, as a “great commander of bandits” in a statement.

In addition, he said that Shettima intended to turn the presidential mansion into a base for Boko Haram terrorists if Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential nominee, won the 2023 election.

Fani-Kayode responded by claiming that Atiku has a history of betraying the people he has worked with, including former Presidents Obasanjo, late Gen. Musa Yar’Adua, and his brother, former President, late Musa Yar’Adua.

Melaye’s reaction, in his opinion, was complete nonsense.

He said that the accusations made against Shettima were baseless and intended to frighten the public and give them the impression that the APC is a group of terrorists and that the party’s candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, supports terrorism.

Fani-Kayode promised that Atiku would lose the election in his ward to the governing APC.

He stated:

This individual is waging a ridiculous campaign, and these are absurd comments that have been uttered on his behalf.

“I can confirm that Atiku Abubakar is a traitor who has continually deceived everyone with whom he has worked, including President Obasanjo, late Gen. Yar’Adua, late President Yar’Adua, as well as the APC and the PDP. It is a betrayal of his public service record.

He will ultimately betray PDP once again. You may recall that he betrayed his party’s governors. Dino Melaye asserts that he is the individual who ought to lead our nation as president despite the fact that he betrayed his pledge. No way!”

As a result, Fani-Kayode urged Atiku to remain at home, claiming that Nigerians, not officials in Washington, Paris, or Dubai, would determine who would win the presidency.
